Director of Programs

Rosa Velázquez

Rosa has joined the Foundation for Social Impact as the Director of Programs and with her over ten years of community organizing, power building, public policy and philanthropic skillset, will provide guidance and direction in helping the foundation develop and implement programs. Rosa immigrated from México when she was four years old, and has made Arkansas her home for over 30 years. Rosa is a locally and nationally recognized advocate for immigrant's rights. She has played a critical role in developing the federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) Program, in-state tuition equity, DACA Nurses & Professional License laws in Arkansas and is passionate about social justice, education and racial equity. She has a history of uplifting and cultivating undocumented youth, Latinx organizers, and powerful women. She likes to spend her self-care time with her family and friends, and loves exploring the City of Little Rock with her rescue Siberian Husky, Whiskey.
