India is from Dermott, Arkansas. Her project seeks to empower the youth of the City of Dermott Arkansas by teaching them how to engage with elected officials and community members to create Community Improvement Projects that will provide Summer Activities and After School Activities for local area youth. In the past, India has worked with local community members, local committees and the local school district to implement programs and initiatives to make the kids interested and get them involved in the local political process, local community upkeep, environment shaping and educational training, mostly in a classroom setting. What she would do differently now is reach outside of her community for resources that have a proven success record with children and youth, use innovative technology to collect data from community surveys and focus on hands-on learning techniques. India also wants to incorporate social media trends like TikTok and challenge the youth to make learning fun and relevant to the times.
