Omar is from De Queen, Arkansas and is diligently working to create equity for the Latinx & immigrant communities in Arkansas. He is the founder of iDQ, an initiative that focuses on expanding existing programs or set of services, promoting and disseminating new ways of thinking or addressing problems in the Latinx and immigrant community, using technology to reach a broader audience. Omar’s focus also includes language access, healthcare access and DACA administrative & legislative related issue fixes. Omar is a first generation Mexican immigrant, identifies as LGBTQIA and is an avid storm spotter.
